Mirror Mirror
Reflective thought won't let you get far
To me you've been one impressive celestial star
Look at me and you will see
A person also trying to be free
We seem to come from the same mold
Caring, giving and understanding it's been told
Seeing life through your eyes
Hasn't been a real surprise
Don't be ashamed there is no one to blame
In time you'll know what's good for you
Maybe it will be me, once your feelings are true
Friendships important to me
As you can see
Take the time to work through your emotions
And in time you will se all the devotion
A friend has a lot to offer someone like you
Sharing moments of joy and when you are feeling blue
Through the looking glass, scares your inner spirit
Twisting your head, throwing you into a raging fit
Learn to like yourself for who you surely are
Would enrich your life and help you go far
Stop the mirror from reflecting negatively
And keep your friendships through eternity
Stop gambling and you will see!
Mirror, mirror.
The poet here looks into mirror and realizes their
reflection for the first time. This compulsive
gambler is on the road to recovery. Seeing who you
are as a person and understanding who you can be seems
to help the compulsive gambler recover from their
addiction.
