It's Time To Open Up

Trust in your heart, your inside shouldn't fight

Go forward and peace will be your guiding light

You let me in and showed me your innermost thought

Came, truth, waste

Only you know the answer, did I get caught?

My life was complete with people who care

I opened the door and you were there

Pain

Confusion

Wanting you to care

Am I fooling myself?

Life sometimes isn't fair

I have asked too much

To stay in touch

It's time to let you go

Because the truth hurts you know

Express yourself before it's too late

My walls will close and that you may hate

Self defense mechanisms armed and ready to go

Make up you mind

Don't be left behind

In a world of sorrow

Instead let there be a wonderful world of tomorrow

This was written by a wife of a compulsive gambler. She wanted her husband to open up and share and face his gambling addiction. Each and everyday she built up walls to protect herself.
